Gotta love these MEC administration bureaucrats. They so desperately want to keep their status quo of staying home with their families on full flight pay loss, that they lie about other people. For those who are on the fence about DPA and the current legal representation we've chosen of the Seham law firm, please read just the latest accolade of their legal prowess. Sorry for the large picture:

Carl

So, Carl, what are your thoughts about Lee Seham and USAPA? As far as I can tell, USAPA has fired him and his firm. They are investigating his billing practices and have hired another firm to see if there is fraud. Seham has placed a lien on the files and now USAPA is stuck in the middle of three lawsuits with no files. I guess one of Seham's attorneys was canoodling with the USAPA Vice President and they got caught.

Overall, it seems you can add USAPA to the long list of ex-clients for Seham. He has a short list of current clients and a long list of ex-clients.

So let's review his performance.
  • Seham promises a new contract in 6 months, almost 4 years later, nothing
  • Seham spends over 10 million in legal fees with no benefits for any pilots
  • Seham has put USAPA $2 million in the hole and they are now thinking about assessing their members above ALPA dues rates to pay the bills
  • Seham has left USAPA hemmed in by multiple lawsuits with no hope of a new contract for years into the future
USAPA and Seham have undershot our compensation by over $3 billion for the last 4 years. What a successful independent union! Please, let's be like them.

Seriously, Carl, do you have any thoughts on this performance?

Speaking of Mayan Calender, doesn't it end Dec 2012? DC-9s leaving Dec 2012? Hmmm....maybe it is the end of the world :p

Look in the Network and Marketing section of Deltanet. The next schedule uploads are there. This is where you will probably find the equipment change.

A few of the AF routes in the Bundle 1 flying need to change to keep the percentages relatively close to where they currently are. The MOU 14 changes to the compliance window which ends in March 2014 will require a one year corrective window to be triggered. (as I understand it and slow if I am wrong on how this amended corrective window works clarify it. The wording is very vague and could lead to a few conclusions on when the jv partners need the eask's to be in compliance, or at least to the bottom end of the band)

As I read it they do not have to be in compliance until after 2014 window ends, but the deficit yoy is not cumulative.(if it is it does not seem to be spelled out. Waiting to get further clarification on this at the c44 lec meeting) Once we are back in the bottom end of the band a new three year window starts and there is no look back.

Whoops. Didn't read the date, did you?

We start flying SEA-CDG in a year and a half from now. March 2012...

Isn't March 2012 just 4 months from now?

Let's figure out who SWAPA uses, because THEY KNOW HOW TO PAY THEIR PILOTS, unlike ALPA who thinks we can't achieve that. "It's just.......not.....possible. We're NOT Southwest....." That was a quote from EVERY LEC member.

Yes. Yes it is. Thank you for noticing. If you'll notice a post of mine a few more down the line, I acknowledged my idiocy.

SWAPA pays the pilots over there? Hmmmmmmm now THAT explains why Gary Icahn rammed that down Air Tran's throats....

Hmmmm you're right. How is the strategy coming for our opener? Was the survey useful? Probably took a couple of hours to read mine :D Since I was limited to 750 characters, I used text speak for my comments.. actually managed to get over 2000 words into that space. I will be happy to come to the MEC and translate for ya. hehehehehehehe

Oooooops, Big Orange on TV.. gotta go

80ktsClamp 11-05-2011 03:20 PM

Does anyone here use the PPO option A?

Wifers and I are going to start trying to have a wee one (scary, I know), and wondering how this would be. I've got the HRA Gold now and have been pretty disappointed.

Our insurance options are total bullcrap, if you ask me...

I would figure there is some sort of a minimum retainer that the NBA pays for DL to keep the aircraft outfitted and available. They are canceling games about 3 to 4 weeks out so the flights may very well be scheduled as to ensure availability.

There are also plenty of NHL charters. I just looked at the bid packets and there are a lot of YVR to YYC type flights.
