How much notice does the company have to give to let us know when the last bid month will be in MEM? How long of a time window do we have to get a paid move? Does this moving timeframe start at award date, or conversion date?

Just so we don't make that mistake again:

They are going to close cvg and significantly shrink msp and maybe close it.

Yeah. If Delta would throw $230K+ at me for averaging 12 days per month as a domestic narrowbody Captain, and make sure all flying of our passengers is done by mainline pilots, I think I could probably overlook a few other "holes in the deal." :) Those greedy SWA pilots! They are "LOL" all the way to the bank! :D

I know they're closing MEM and CVG. I'm surprised you think MSP is on the chopping block. That means the only true NWA base left will be DTW. SEA doesn't count.

I'm spitballing, but 2 weeks ago, DAL paid the fee to MSP to get out of their promise that the merger wouldn't have an adverse effect on the msp employees. In the words of George Costanza: "shrinkage." Couple that with closing the training center...Just a couple of dots that make you go hmmm.

I assumed that fee had to do with closing the training facility and maybe getting rid of some maintenance hangars.

Let's put it this way belts say someone knew and then they pulled it. How would those MEM guys be feeling with that rumor out there. So many bids have changed at the last minute that posting things like base closures before the bid is posted really serve no purpose.

Plenty knew but they know the way DAL works and used discretion. Novel idea.
