Tim indicated that this AE is going to generate (best guess) slightly over 800 training events. Just thinking out loud, but, if the aircraft were painted Red-tail color, does anyone think this base would be closing? So, how is this not a result of the merger...OTOH, if the merger hadn't occurred, would any of us have jobs today. I dunno. But, if management would honor the entire "paid move" promises that were in the contract (the ones that expired last October), that would go a long way toward easing the pain of the base closure. Hoping that the company will do the right thing, but I'm "watching their lips"....

First off as a displaced pilot... I hope MEM guys get whatever financial assistance available. Somebody spend what I did not get please!!!> But do we not get paid moves on a displacement? Or was there a better offer before October?

h. Real Estate Commission Upon Sale of Permanent Residence
The real estate commission incurred by him upon the sale of his permanent residence
as the result of being converted from a displacement (that occurs after October 30,
2008) from a base that is closed within 24 months after October 30, 2008, will be
reimbursed in an amount not to exceed $35,000, upon submission of reasonable
documentation

After getting the word this morning in MEM ops, the predictions I've been hearing since 1989 are finally true. It was great while it lasted, and for those that have made it so enjoyable the last 22 years, thank you. I'm not seriously considering moving, while I wouldn't move to Memphis, I don't think I want to move from here either, it is home:). I love the 320 but commuting to fly it with the schedules I've seen in ATL, DTW and MSP doesn't seem worth it. So I'm considering sliding over a seat and enjoying the ride from the right side of the world in the 765 or the 330. After all the angst of anticipating this for all these years, being senior on something has great appeal.
We do have a lot of entrenched people in MEM, The top third can bid most anything, my middle third, narrow or very junior widebody, and the bottom third pretty much will be whistling Dixie again and plugging the leaks of the windows with a jumpseater's knee in his kidney.

I just want to confirm

If scheduling removes you from a trip for oe, they have to notify you of a recovery trip at least 12 hrs prior to original sign in.

If they don't notify me prior to 12 hrs prior to report, am I free from recovery obligation?

Thanks

What's the difference in the 22D2 and 22D3 report. One says 9397 pilots..the other says 10596

This just happened to me as well. I believe our obligation under 23.? is to be available for upto 6 hours after your original report. If scheduling has not called within 6 hours after your scheduled report you can crack a cold one.

There's a confusing explanation in the FOM about it, has to do with the LCA releasing you to scheduling and or the other way around. I recently scored 5 days off for some oe action.

This is true only for 23K recovery. Not 23G, OE recovery obligations.

22D2 is:

1. Each bid period and at each base, the Company will post a complete list of pilots by category and seniority number.
2. On or before the first day of February, May, August and November, the Company will post, at each base, a six month forecast of pilot requirements for each position at each base.
Exception: When the Company posts an advance entitlement or displacement bid with an effective date more than 210 days from date of posting, the Company will concurrently publish a 12 month forecast of pilot requirements for each position at each base.

This is min staffing

22D3 is:
An advance entitlement or displacement bid posting will include a forecast of pilot staffing by category at the end of the conversion window.
