Hi Ferd,
You seem to have a handle on this, so I'll address this to you, even though I'm on a different fleet. My conversion from the DC-9 to the MD-88 bid category is APR. My question is: Is the LOD THE THING that I need, and am expected to have 'wired', when I arrive at the school house. Or, is there some 'ALSO' required? Any -88 guys, feel free to chime in. Got my box of training materials a few days ago....the CD test in the box, is that the same test/questions we'll see on the eVal test?
Mucho Gacias,
Chuck

Chuck,

Not much to add to what FTB says, great info there.

I found that for the Bus anyway, that the LOD is word for word out of Voi II indications section. But the Bus Voi II is still a NWA book (still has NWA logos on the pages) so it may be laid out differently than the 88.

But, as FTB says, have something where you can see what the switch looks like/where it is and then read the LOD to see what they want you to know about it. It becomes really important when you do a glass airplane that has graphic info on screens. Everything on the screens means somthing:eek:

Anybody remember the old "dual pool"? Sometimes neither pilot had flown the airplane for several weeks, so we just apologized to each other. :p

Good Stuff.

Hey Ferd,

Where did you find flashcards?

They were in the fleet training section (not the LMS). Click on the airplane, then top column on the left near the bottom has the training link and then they were in there.

What are you going to? The 88?

PS

The flashcards are working on my iPad. You cant skip from one system to another, you can only scroll through the entire package one slide at a time..........but its great stuff!

On the Fight Ops page, left side, middle box

Flight Ops Resources > Manuals and Library Services

But, I'd also download them to your computer or eReader of some kind. The graphics will be much nicer.

I wonder if she was on "Say Yes To The Dress"? I have four daughters, so I can be forgiven for knowing that that show exists.
