They try to staff 12% reserves. It has gotten as low as 8% and as high as 16%.

I got the last seat in the Dec 20th interview, last one offered this year. Next interviews start Jan 7,8,9....

Holy Crap! I had no idea when I started this thread it would create a buzz about Delta that has it up to almost 116,000 views, awesome. I hope folks are getting some valuable info. I have not checked-in for a while. I have been flying the line on the 88. I dig this job. It's a blast. I got the 76/75ATL in the last AE bid. So, I am stoked about that.

Congrats to everyone who has got on at Delta! More to come in 2008. I'm sure everyone is aware they want to hire around 70 a month in 2008. No base is out of reach now for new hires. The last few AE bids have new hires going to every Delta base. As always, if you have something to add about the hiring/interview process at Delta please post it. If I hear anything I will add it. I'm interested to hear about the new test.

That rumor has been going on for at least 10 years. I would not worry too much if I was going for the interview now, since I doubt they will change to the extent that todays study guides becomes useless. Nevertheless, prepare for the worst and hope for the best as always!
