But they replaced a $8 burrito place with a FOs dream...Taco Bell!!!

Seriously, though, for those that are going to miss the McD's, there is a Burger King and Arby's literally less than 60 yards from the G1 McD's location...

Also, any Oregon fans on here? I am facing a serious lack of people to talk smack to about the Rose Bowl.

PilotFrog, you haven't switched allegiance to the Pacific Northwest, have you?

The way I see it, now I pay nothing instead of $4. That Goldfish snack bag just started looking better.

Don't forget McD used to give us free refills on caffeine.. Though i gotta say i'm quite impressed with how LGA food court has turned around. Just not sure if there are enough high rollers in MSP to peruse the new facility.

This food talk has taken a turn for the worse. Where's Buzz when you need him? I guess this is what happens when you are forced to view per-diem as part of income and not as a reimbursement...

I'd like to see a discussion of steak quality and such, this time next year rather than crocodile tears over Taco Bell and McDonalds...

Slice of the pie? I want to eat cake!

Cheers
George

On an different topic, anybody want to start a heating and cooling business with me? My heat went out last night. Temp sensor broke. Had it fixed this morning. Took the guy less then five minutes to change the part. Heat works again.

THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for the repair. And that included a 15% discount, & no fee for the service call since we have a plan. $300 for 10 minutes. Unreal.

Johnso,

We're both in the wrong profession. I purchased an investment/rental property in Tucson this summer. (Sept.) Had Merry Maids come in to do a general house cleaning, with windows and carpets. Four hours later, I'm down ~$700.

$700 to clean windows, carpets, and cupboards? YGTBFSM!! (In only 1/2 days work.)

GJ

P.S. That might be the going rate these days, but I'm a pilot darnit, my CFI days still has me ordering from the $1 menu at McDonald's.

Looks like CVG isn't much of a commuter base - the 73N are very low, while the M88 is lowest (A and B)!

DTW 777A is the highest commuter percentage.

I was reading through some of the comments last night.... they are incredibly entertaining.

Commuters screaming for longer trips, non-commuters screaming to not pander to commuters and wanting shorter trips.

A few "this survey is so horribly worded it could only be written by ALPA and that's why they are going to be voted out."

Universally everyone wants to be more efficient.

Nice!

Any idea on the cost (CASM, 500-1000-1500nm trip costs, block hour costs, etc)?

If 50 seaters are so insanely uneconomical, I can't immagine 70 seaters or 90 seaters with 76 seats installed can be that much better.

In any case, 255 of the large ones is way over the top and that number needs to be radically slashed in C2012 or it gets sent back to the NC, even if they take their toys and go home, quit and have to start over.

That's insane!! Google and a trip to Home Depot probably could have saved you a lot of money. Bummer. At least your heat is working again, plus you're supporting your local business.
