Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Retirement numbers are slightly different than those listed on the Delta Profile page of APC.

southwest airlines, the only major airline that doesn't charge fees to check two pieces of luggage, had the second-worst rate of mishandled bags, better than only american. bags fly free, but they don't always get there. excluding airtran airways, which southwest acquired in may, southwest would have been the industry's worst at baggage handling.

In addition to added volume, Southwest's baggage operation has struggled with complexity of connecting lots of different flights in lots of different cities.
Still, Southwest customers aren't complaining. The airline had the fewest complaints per passenger, according to DOT stats.

And talk about perception being reality. Looks like their pax are drinking the kool aid too...for now.
The funny thing is getting AirTran made their bag numbers significantly better...and they charge for bags! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
LOL! That is epic! Flagrant irony on the bags, 15 yard penalty, repeat third down.

Vacation Bid Question:
I'm supposed to convert to a new category in March. But, my vacation screen still looks like I'm set up to bid vacation for my old category (when I ask to see weeks available, it shows weeks for the DC9.).
Am I really still supposed to bid those weeks? Or, am I stuck in some kind of purgatory where I pick up scraps later on?
Thanks.

). Reading through the contract brought me to part of the answer. You will bid for whatever category you are in 31JAN12 (1st day of the Feb bid period). So you will bid for DC9 vacation; at least that much is correct. As far as taking that vacation with you to your new category, I'm not sure. I'm not expecting to get anything to write home about in either category, so I'm not really worrying about it this year. If you find out for sure, let us know here though. I'd like to hear the answer to that one too.
I'm in the same boat as you (and quite a few others I suspect
