It may havto do with the push to "certify" your pass riders. IDK, but the window may have closed and closed them out...probably fixable with a phone call.

Btw, Hermans wife is on a roll. Her blog is a riot. The polygamy crash pad had my wife rolling in laughter. Reminded us of our crashpadder and hot tub parties. Neighbors gave us weird looks. |

Look on Deltanet

There is a memo on Deltanet that says if you are married or have a "travel companion" then your parents are S3B for oceanic and pay $75 per travel day and taxes for the privilege. If you are single and don't have a "travel companion" then your parents can fly oceanic as S3 and no $75 fee. When you look on travelnet, if married or have a companion, you will see the S3B unlimited and still able to schedule oceanic, but you will be assessed the $75 fee per travel day. LUV:(:( |

Sorry to pile on, but.........what gives you the "divine light" to state that DAL would not be allowed back in ALPA if they left , like FDX was.......I'm pretty sure I didn't see you during that process.

I highly suspect that ALPA will not survive without the delta pilots. It is more of a guess on the direction ALPA will go with the loss of over 25% of the total pilots.

I understand this thought, but that's not remotely close to what you said.

If DPA or another independent group is a failure, you will not get to come back in to the fold like FDX did. It is a one way street and there will be no going back. For that reason, my position is that we need to be very careful about this.

Yes, if DALPA leaves ALPA will fail. That is what I am saying. There will be nothing to go back to. Not unless they went back within the first few months, which could not happen.

I am not even going to respond to your post. Guys prefer not to hear more of it and I will respect that. We can argue this in NRT. I'll buy. :D |
