I guess this guy may have a point if we were truly that professional; the reality is we have a long way to mature as an airline. Im just wondering if we will actually kill people before leadership focuses on something a bit more than image. Every time I hear a LCA rationalize the way we train based on costs, the respect is subsequently limited to the four stripes. Im laughing at these line check blitz desks that have no participants, three years later and the average line pilot feels engaging one of these drones is more of a brainwashing session than anything constructive.

Now wear that hat!
From a discussion I had with a LCA that took all of about 60 seconds while waiting for our plane you get all that? Yeah, I guess he could have discussed proper taxi procedures with me instead, but we had the rest of the 4-day trip for all that.

You have some legitimate concerns, but attempting to tie anything you disagree with as somehow causal or contributing to deficiencies elsewhere in the company is a deductive fallacy.

RA: "Hey, Ed, you look like you haven't changed that shirt in a few days, and you're starting to smell."

EB: "Oh, so you're worried about my shirt, yet you're OK with how poor RASM numbers were last quarter? Where are your priorities?!"

You guys and your eyebrow/skin eating, boogers, toenail-pickin' stories have got to stop. I'm already a germ-a-phobe, but now I'm gonna start flying in rubber gloves.

Respectfully requesting a cease and desist.

Flew with a guy who had a lav session in his socks.

I had a Captain a few trips ago whose breakfast wasn't sitting too well so he had to make a sudden rush for the lav. I offered him my little travel size spray can of frebreeze and he smiled and said, "oh No, I wanna smell it up" He returned a few minutes later all proud of himself. But he wore his hat and had a nice clean pressed shirt.

Flew with a guy one time years ago that carried a giant aerosol can of lysol with him. He totally fumigated the cockpit every time we got a different jet.

He also was convinced that TWA800 was shot down by the US Navy.

I like long sleeves....on other guys.

It serves as a warning to others that the douche content may be higher than normal and to be sure you put on your Massengill Brand(tm) slicks so you can avoid the overspray.

Reserve question: If you are coming off of days off and they don't SC you on your 1st day of reserve what is the earliest they can call you and make you report. I"m guessing they can call you at midnight for a noon report or would it be for a noon departure?

If there isn't anything on your schedule at your required 1500 schedule check (only required on your last day of a group of off days), then the earliest you have to make a report is noon the next day. If they put something on your line prior to 1500 the day prior, you are on the hook for it. Not sure what the earliest report would be in that case.
