Im new to the industry and have a question about pay. Why don't pilots get paid while waiting at an airport between flights? You're still at work and hanging out where the company sent you. Is this issue brought up every now and then?

Yes. We are only paid when cleared to push until the airplane is stopped. Brought up? Yes. Change? Would love too.

Alright gents. One of you posted a picture of one of our FA's. It was off a facebook page. I will say this nicely. It happens again, the thread is locked. That is totally below the belt and she did not give you permission. You know who you are and were smart enough to take it down. The quotes have been deleted.
Now I don't know the context here, however Facebook's privacy policy does state anything posted on Facebook is public domain. This from Facebook's privacy policy: "...Just like when you share information by email or elsewhere on the web, information you share on Facebook can be re-shared. This means that if you share something on Facebook, anyone who can see it can share it with others, including the games, applications, and websites they use...."
I understand taking the high ground, and posters should use discretion, but no reason to close a thread....

A past CEO at a in command briefing stated several times he had no problem paying a 777 CA 500 dollars an hour. He said the revenue generation of the airframe could support it. He then however went on to state that if he paid that we would demand 400 an hour on a 737 which could not support it. I don't remember the exact numbers but a 777 CA generated about 3 and a half times the total revenue of a 737 CA when you factored in the airfares and cargo. They had all the numbers available for each aircraft and they were eye watering on the difference in revenue generation between airframes.
On that note, since an AE is out, ATL MD-88 sucks.
