we could recall every single rep tomorrow (assuming the ALPA machine would allow it to happen). it wouldn't help.

we'd still have to send Delta pilots' dues money to national. and national would still advocate for regional pilot groups who are trying to take our flying and ruin our careers. a conflict of interest--along with sundry other policies harmful to Delta pilots' careers.

we cannot fix this simply by recalling reps. ALPA is rotten to the core.

This thread has become over bearing with its negativity and personal attacks. It used to be a place for healthy debate and company insight. Some that are new to the party don't have that goal in mind. I hope to see some of you on the line and I hope we successfully achieve a contract that ameliorates a lot of our QOL issues presently. Adios guys.

And so the last time you lost an airframe to a regional was what? 2008 when Freedom Airlines took delivery of the CRJ-900s? And before that the CRJ-700 and EMB-170 in 2004? And before that the CRJ-200 in 1996? So has your career been ruined since 1996? Or 2004? Or 2008? Would you rather have been pushing around a CRJ since then? I don't see much tangible evidence in your remarks that your career has been ruined. Only that business decisions outside of your control were made.

Most of what I've heard is that the very most senior are too good for the likes of an RJ - which is why they were farmed out to the lowest bidder.

Would you have bid JFK Dash-8 CA in 2006 for $48/hr to prevent your career from being ruined?

I'm sorry if I offended you. That was not my intention.
#1. It is not a "family business". My wife started AngryPilotWife.blog for laughs and then decided it would be a great way to raise money for Friends of Mel, the cancer charity set up to honor one of our Flight Attandants, who lost her battle with breast cancer. That's where the proceeds are going.
#2. I only posted the link because this thread is getting SOOOO effing depressing, that I thought we could all use a laugh. Lighten up, brother. Smile more, and try to do some good in the universe.
#3 As it stands, 400+ people have followed her link to the charity to help support it, and we're up to $65.00 in page view revenue for donation.
Again, it was NOT my intention to be "tasteless". I thought I could share a laugh with my Delta Brothers, and help support a very worthy cause.

I share your wife's website with every pilot and friend I know. She makes me laugh. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Many of us can relate to your escapades. Keep it up. Beer is on me if you ever get to Newnan, GA.

Buzz and Ferd,

Your absence will be felt, and we will be a little poorer for it....I ask you to reconsider your bingo, and use the "ignore" where necessary.

Regards,

Great video, I like their tact on these things.

But that 747 taking off... just seems so odd. Did they fast forward it?

All I got was "look at our route map...its all Alaska on the west coast...suck it DL pilots!!!!"

Oh and apparently we have to wear our hats on the walk arounds now. Crap.

Still better than those fake formation flying Enya ones from the 90's though.
