I know this has been asked several times so I'll add it once more since I don't want to search. I'm converting 1 Apr to 7ER in NYC. They have apr 1-16th shadowed in my calender for OE and TOE. Can I bid for a line for the rest of the month? Or did that change?

When I was up in NYC and there wasn't an AE for 6 months I would PD my entire month and WS out of ATL (Mon-Thu usually). Didn't seem to be a problem. After finally getting ATL in an AE I kind of wished I had stayed NYC and kept doing it back then because when I came to ATL reserves were being used every single day they were available (ALV was 82). Maybe someone smarter that me can explain this:
Our leader reported via the Mar 2 code a phone that in Apr our capacity wil be down 1.7%. Never fear, SWA is -3.7%, UAL - 3.4%, and AA -2.2% so we are doing better that most. However these are the facts according to press releases reposted on DLNET. Airline Traffic Capacity DAL +2.6 -1.7 USAir +7.9 +5.8 AA +6 +4.7 SWA +3.9 +6.2 UAL +3.4 +5.4 Alaska +9.7 +5.8 Seems he got the fact we are shrinking correct but missed what the rest of the industry is doing. I realize he was predicting April, but I highly doubt every one else will magicall start shrinking. What am I missing?:( |
