When retirements will start to pick up, and hiring begins, do you DL folks see people interviewing/getting hired with less than 1000 TPIC or even zero for that matter? I know in the past some have made it through without it, but I imagine it's because of a close connection.

Icrew question-- My Icrew keeps timing out and resetting, forcing me to log back in to DeltaNet and Icrew, about every 2-3 minutes. Happens in Firefox 11 and Firefox 3.63 (not updated on another computer). Just in the last week or so. No other updates I know of, on two computers, except maybe some Microsoft .NET I didn't pay attention to.
I've cleared browser cache and cookies. Delta IT department had no suggestions. Additionally, my ICrew Mobile on my I phone seems frozen this morning, it just sits there when trying to update open-time or schedule, with a yellow icon, but never updates. Normally works great. I'm in IT open-time/PCS hell, I can't stay logged in anywhere long enough to make a swap, or even read the trips! Any ideas appreciated. |

Right up until the time Tom Landry retired. After that, not so much.

Obviously you'll need something "extra" to make the cut. For instance I believe there was a MX guy that made it in that way... Cheers George |
...or maybe we're getting ahead of ourselves. Where is this Delta +3%, exactly?
I'm reading this, from one part of jpl's newsletter: Starting point is current green book. 5.5% raise on date of signing 3% / yrs 2-6, then avg of UAL/DAL and this, from another part: DAL + 3% DOS (Date of Signing) 2 Years completed....DAL equal (Delta pilots in negotiations now) 5 Years completed...DAL/UAL average The first set of notes is "from an APA meeting", the second part is "what's floating around DFW". I have no idea what the actual agreement is, but maybe it isn't actually benchmarked to ours. Sounds like maybe it's benchmarked to our current payrates, and that there is a lag before it increases, based on us and UCAL. Like a 6-year lag. From DOS, no less. Maybe we shouldn't celebrate just quite yet. |

There hasn't been a PIC requirement at Delta in the past.

Gotcha. Ya, I knew there wasn't an "official" requirement for it, but it seem liked most had it, but I guess that's because of the lack of hiring before which allowed RJ guys to get quite a bit of TPIC.

I don't know where you guys are getting these numbers, but I know they are not correct for past hiring. Even for people without really strong "connections." Just apply regardless of if you think it will be enough, you never know they might like the college you went to, your extra activities, or whatever. I applied really hoping to get hired, but I thought there was no way I would get an interview, but knew it would be worth it to show interest while I continued to build time, and then surprise I get an invite. Don't let numbers you hear keep you from trying.
