I haven't been on the Acela, but on the regular, no special anything coach seat on Amtrak you have a nice seat that's got lots of leg room, power outlets at each seat, nice scenery out the window, bring whatever you want to eat or drink, make phone calls, use your iPhone or whatever whenever you want.

Really a nice way to travel. I can see why we lose customers to Amtrak on the DC-NYC and NYC-BOS routes.

I cant imagine how many billions of dollars the TSA has costed the airlines.

Yeah don't move to the north side. My neighborhood has no Delta employees which is really nice(Can't really convey sarcasm in print). I'm the only person with a beard walking around pulling weeds in my yard in a bathrobe and jelly sandals while drinking a white Russian. I live on the north side of Marietta off 575 and it only takes me 35 min no traffic to get to the parking lot. Whenever there is traffic I avoid 75. Only takes an hour to the parking lot via surface streets and 285.

"The most encouraging news is that, after several months of behind-the-scenes work, KCM site surveys are scheduled at the following eight additional airports:
Denver (DEN)
Las Vegas (LAS)
Salt Lake City (SLC)
Newark (EWR)
JFK New York (JFK)
LaGuardia (LGA)
Washington, D.C. (DCA)
Philadelphia (PHL)
KCM will begin at each airport as soon as its system is ready to become operational, with the first additional sites expected to come online beginning this summer. The KCM program, which has already facilitated more than 500,000 pilot entries through security since August 2011, will add a bar code reader at all locations in the near future. This will further expedite pilots through security."

ALPA emails are about as useful as the USA Today. Hey Known Crewmember is coming!!!

Yup, we are going to OWN NYC!

Oh wait, 'we' don't fly those jets...

But AA and UAL & Spirit can fill MD80, 320, AND 757s on ORD - LGA !!!

Had dinner with my brother last night who works for a regional and was in town on an overnight. He has decided to quit flying and flip houses full time. He has been doing that off and on for about ten years now, and has done about 12 I think. He is just off Probbie at his job , and he has run the numbers long term and decided he will make more money in the next 10 to 20 years doing that than he will struggleing up through the industry to get to a mainline, and then what make ...100-150k?

Now I know that not every young guy(or girl) coming up has the skill or oppertunity to walk away, but this says volumes about where this profession is at and is headed.

We need to turn this ship around and reverse this trend.

Why didn't you tell him that flying is fun and when you eventually get to a major you sit on the couch and type on APC all day!!

Well, you probably didn't send them enough Under Boob shots first!

They did it for me a few years back, I was on reserve, based in ATL, and got -rerouted- in ATL, we were supposed to go to RDU or someplace for a layover but because we were running late, they cut us loose, but we had to pick up the rest of our trip 'tomorrow'. So maybe because it was an 'in base layover' type thing, (not sure what qualifies for that, my F/O went home!) but they gave it to me.

I did say, "Hey baby, how You doin'" when she picked up the phone, and as she was looking for a room, I followed that up with, "What are you wearing right now? You want to stop by my room tonight when you...get off?"

You gotta give a little if you want to get a little, and if she's not up to your standards...lower your standards! Or just turn off the lights, I've found they all look alike with the lights off.

Up to a point, Timbo, up to a point. I draw the line at Bat-$#!+ Crazy. Crazy as in walking on board and being greeted by an FA that acts like she knows you from a past layover where supposedly you two hooked up and then keeps the make believe world going in her mind. Take away the likelihood that she was related to a JetBlue captain and an American maddog FA and even then I'd say you would have to add some qualifiers to what you posted.

My 2 cents - I've lived here most of my life (E.Cobb/N.Fulton). Like it a lot - government schools here are about as good as it gets in GA (Walton, Pope, or Lassiter district). Houses are plentiful and Delta guy affordable and run the spectrum in price, depending on what you want. Upside is it's not base housing. Golf carts don't do much for me if I'm not golfing. 45 mins to parking lot, no matter which route I take.
Traffic stinks during AM and PM rush hours. But I also understand there's usually traffic in places where people want to live.

Well, that is mostly true, I agree they all look alike with the lights out. But I will say this: in the dark u can't feel ugly....but you damn sure can feel fat!

No no no... we are gonna tax anybody that makes over $1M a year, and that will add $47Billion over 10 years to the treasury. I think they have the problem well in hand.

Naw, he is fed up with the slavery that exists at that level while on reserve. He has made up his mind. I tried to convince him to see if he could get a part time gig 135, (he is citation typed ) just to stay in the game a bit.. I think he is right though, he will make more money in the next 20 years flipping houses, course he will have to work much harder than I do for it!
