Unity isn't an "event." Unity is structural. Unity is Delta pilots performing Delta flying, represented by the Delta MEC, as the exclusive representative of Delta Air Line's productive capacity.

Wow you are close. I didn't know anybody else was so foolish to live this far, but when you only go to town... hardly ever... :D ;) |
A lot of this being said here... but it's a pretty good article on the bust cycle of regional flying. The author seems to think that 90 seats is the cutoff for anything worth flying in that class.
IN FOCUS: Boom and bust, the regional jet phenomenon |
So I might have a very good reason to need to fly up to PHF this weekend, which AirTran no longer serves. But you can't nonrev as they've replaced the 3-4 MD88s with 5 CRJ200s with an occasional midnight MD88.
I was just surprised the ticket prices. $1181... each. Can't buy tickets for 4. But if I'm flexible and leave tomorrow, $4,700. All on a CRJ-200. Try that for RASM-CASM on a CRJ-200. And we really think these things will go away? (sorry flyallnite, I didn't see your post, but I hope there is a bust cycle or we'll bust an opportunity to make more money with bigger jets) |
