An early thanks to all those pro-Mac people out there.

GJ-

I have bought all of my Apple products refurbished. I have never had any problems and they carry the same warranty as the new products.

Quixotic, or is there any merit? As a minimum I'm annoyed at being treated differently being in vs. out of uniform by the TSA. Also annoyed at "pat downs" of my four daughters.

Quixotic??? Ummmm Rand Paul is one of a handful working among the incompetents in DC who actually gets it. To rid the American public of a bloated useless bureaucracy and think of it as quixotic is nuts... TSA was THE worst thing GWB did.. and all because it was a knee jerk reaction. Fire away obomanation....

Less government.. what's not to like?

+1. Stossel just recently did a report on contracted airport security vs. the Tub Stacking Association. Hands down, the contracted inspectors were more pleasant, effecient, secure, and effective than the TSA on all areas investigated.

I too have purchased refurbished Apple products. Zero problems. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

In fact, my attitude (with Apple) is why buy new if I can find it refurbished?

The article about TSA calls it quixotic, but I agree with everyone here. TSA is worthless. Can you imagine the uptick in air travel if TSA went away? No more pat-downs, molestation, etc....

I have a refurbished Iphone 4s. Absolutely love it. Got it for half price and it's just like new.

Not a problem at all, you can even buy AppleCare to have an extended warranty.

The refurbished "personal" electronics iPhone, iPod, all have a new shell, indistinguishable from new...

Cheers

I completely agree Elvis. Unfortunately, they've become yet another bloated government bureaucracy that probably is immune from extinction.

The "analysts" and "experts" are starting to change their tune, a month from now the refinery deal will be a "brilliant move":

Refinery Deal Could Provide Delta Enough Savings To Dominate Atlantic

“Delta will be able to cover a large portion of its jet fuel needs at the major New York airports at a cost substantially below that of its competitors,” adds Verleger. “This advantage would be particularly useful in the very competitive North Atlantic market, where Delta goes up against American [Airlines], British Airways (BA), Lufthansa, Air France, United and Virgin Atlantic, among others.

“With Trainer, Delta could match the competition’s prices and pocket profits from lower-cost fuel. Alternatively, it could follow Southwest’s example and initially pass the cost savings on to consumers. This would force larger losses on other airlines or cause them to exit the market. We bet that Delta chooses the latter option,” notes Verleger.
Cheers
