Old habits die hard. I did pro diem once. I like the flightline product better. Maybe it's just that I'm more used to it. Regardless, I don't file my taxes until the middle/end of March so it's not a big deal.

My rotation tomorrow shows the Capt is getting a right seat checkride for all three legs tomorrow and the first 3 on the second day. Do FOs usually get released for those legs? If so, would I expect to know the night before or at show? Thanks.

You should be released tonight. Sometime after 7 or so.

Thanks, Ill give it until the end of the month. No point in changing what works and I'm comfortable with.

One other suggestion, that I've used in the past, is to call crew accomodations and find out what other flights have crews laying over at that hotel and then bum a ride with them.

Worked for me, and saved me a $70 cab ride (Uber was $58) They can tell you the contracted van times for normal transportation, and the day of they may even have addition ones scheduled for charters or reroutes.
