Could any of the Delta folks here comment on that? Isn't that type of thing illegal?

Yes. I doubt if that happened. What website is that coming from?

That has not happened at Delta that I know of. Delta has a lot of confidence in its system delivering good objective results.

I think airline apps has you break out IP time separately from PIC. Which I agree is a little weird. But it gets the job done.

Just a thought but if you're retiring in December you should probably be "available" in December. That might be your problem. That's a sign.

We've got tens of thousands of guys who wanna jump now. Why would the hiring guys want to wait on you?

Again, just a thought.

Maybe because he spent 20 years serving his country which probably included frequent deployments. So, he wants to take a few months off to see his family? I HIGHLY doubt they are punishing him for it. I'd bet they would prefer to interview him closer to his availability so they can interview those people able to start class sooner.

I might be misunderstanding your question/comment, but you can very easily be available in July with a December retirement. You are considered free from everything except a paycheck when you start terminal leave.

You might want to check the dates on the post again. Opposite of what you think.

True, but how do you amass 6 months terminal leave? I thought 90 was max (60 carry over and 30 current year).

Actually, you could carry 75 over this year, plus 30 earned, plus the leave you earn while on leave Oct and Nov (5) plus 20 PTDY = 130
