TEN
I was also told that they are still on the tier 1 apps and in fact are rescreening all of the apps again and adding more guys to tier 1 that may have been missed. If they run out of tier 1 guys then they will drop to tier 2 but just when they think they might be out of tier 1 guys it seems like they add a bunch back to tier 1.

It won't be long until they get to tier 2. United claims they will be hiring CFI's off the street in 5 years. I think Delta will be doing the same thing in 5 years too.

I would think there are enough regional guys that the legacies won't have a tough time getting the numbers they need. They may have to hire guys with no PIC and no degrees, but there are a lot of regional pilots out there. Where the replacements for those guys will come from is the big question.

Legacies may have to hire CFI's after they realize they can't staff the regionals. They are going to be forced to bring all those airframes and pilots to mainline so they can maintain schedule integrity. At that point they will be looking at CFI's off the street to fly RJ's. That's what I see happening.

Nothing fishy about it. Just a fact! I'd just like to know where all of these apps came from and how many total apps that gives them now?
I know you have a reliable source from prior posts, but this doesn't make any sense. This is like saying airlineapps with held over 6k applications from the pool. What apps did they get to choose to with hold? Seems if this were true it could open a whole other can of worms with lawsuits. We all pay airlineapps to publish our stuff. Surely it is tier two they are evaluating.

I don't have an answer. All he said to me was that airlineapps gave them 6,000 more apps last week to review. I wish I knew more about what that exactly meant. He made it sound like it was 6,000 additional apps but I'm not exactly sure what he was saying. It doesn't make any sense to me either. Maybe it is the tier two apps. I did have another source tell me that delta has reviewed all of the applications and was now going to go back and review them all again to make sure each app was scored accordingly. I wish I knew more about the 6,000 additional apps but I was hoping someone with some inside information might have an answer as to where these apps came from.

Maybe the 6000 are the tier 2 apps, since I'm guessing tier 1 stack might be getting really short with all the hiring they've been doing.

Yeah, hopefully someone here will chime in with some information concerning this. I spoke to someone that works on the fourth floor recently and he mentioned tier 1 was almost depleted. Hopefully that's what all this is. I'm hoping for those like us that 2015 is the year of the invite. I know you've been trying any and every way to get noticed as well - fingers crossed for us both!
