Holler at me when you get a class date, we've got an extra couple rooms. You, junglebus, and boomer are all more than welcome.

Didn't new hires have the hotel covered with the last CBA? I could be mistaken but I though I remember hearing that.

Unfortunately no. NWA did pay for the hotel all the way up to OE. But Delta won't pay past indoc.

Maybe it changed when you were hired, but when I got hired this was only true if you were not going to be based in MSP. Of course they didn't tell us that until after we bid for our aircraft/base assignments.

You're likely correct. My class was offered only DTW DC9 and ANC 747 SO.

Don't forget that lil nugget about not going to regular guarantee pay till you finish OE. If you get put on a fleet that is behind on training that will cost you several thousand dollars in pay. Some guys thought if they went home to wait for OE for a month that was a good deal, till they saw the ensuing pay checks.

A month off between simulators and OE wouldn't surprise me a bit.
You could also run into a similar gap between indoc and sims.
F150 is correct. You'll be at $3700 salary. Hourly doesn't start til after IOE.

It will be interesting to see how fast they can spool up the 717 pipeline.
They're pre-loading guys right now but it's a new fleet and still a work in progress. And it sounds like quite a few people will be training on Boeing sims in Miami. (that might be a sweet deal. depends what hotel they use)
