In addition to the post above, this reinforces the idea of studying and learning the material and not specific questions. The question bank is so big you could study the old guide and take old test and not see any same questions either.

If you live by the gouge, you will die by the gouge.

You have to understand the concepts of the study guide. If you just memorize all the questions and answers you will fail. It is a hard test for a reason. How bad do you want the job? If you are willing to put in the effort, you will pass.

Default Delta Hiring News

I received a strange email from Delta today. It was the receipt message Delta pilots receive when submitting an internal recommendation to the pilot selection team for a applicant...except I am an applicant, not a Delta employee.

Any insight out there? It must be some sort of mistake or the electrons got crossed somewhere in the interwebs.

Thanks!

You never know, you might be the first guy hired with a self written personal recommendation. If so, you'll have an instant good track record recommending pilots.

Agreed. I've suggested the following study method to several folks who said it was useful:

When you are looking at the gouge, IGNORE THE ANSWERS. Some of them are wrong.

Look at the question and, if you know the answer already, move on to the next question. (don't waste valuable study time on a subject you already know)
If you don't know the answer, go to the source documents suggested by Delta and find the answer yourself.
The concept will be learned so you'll also be able to skip more of the gouge since there's a lot of duplication. (again, don't waste study time)

Hmm, maybe it was forwarded to you by the person that recommended you? Just guessing...
