Default latest spreadsheet info

Here is the latest info I have for the spreadsheet. I am still missing a lot of data from April class composition. Cheers,

Looking at the spreadsheet, if each class is 24, then that also equals 96 for April. Either way, 96 is a good number.

Delta is going to be critically short of pilots this summer. For perhaps the first time ever they had to tell marketing they could not support some planned flying. April is their last chance to have pilots on the line for summer flying hence the big number.

Any thoughts on if this number of classes per month will continue into May and June? Based on the spreadsheet I'm right on the edge of what would be an end of May or start of June class date. Work issues for me make that a fairly big distinction.

I think they will drop back on the hiring from May through middle August. That is the norm to get the max number of bodies flying the line. I would however expect 50 a month. They should have run bigger classes in the first quarter however they may have had bigger bottlenecks upstream with training. In the fall they have to start additional training for the new 330's. Combine that with the ongoing narrow bodies joining the fleet they are going to be busy in training!

Default Uniform Shortage

Trying to stay ahead of the game before I get the call for class I went by Crew Outfitters to get fitted for my uniform jacket and hat. They are currently out of all First Officer hats and they are running low on jackets due to all the training at DAL. I recommend if you get a chance run by a location and get fitted so they can add your size to their next big order.

I also called three county health departments in the South ATL area that administers the yellow fever vaccine and all three are out. I finally found it at a private infectious disease clinic that specializes in travel health. They said there was a problem at the sole manufacturer and the health departments should be stocked again by the end of May.

TEN Who do you recommend? I had that impression on the uniform coats but didn't know we had other options.

TEN, whats your recommendation? Also, best shoes for a new guy to invest in? Are we supposed to find a bag, headset, etc. before we show up also?
