Can anyone confirm that this loa is still in effect? This is from page 440 of the pwa
LOA #13-01 – 02
2.
New Hire Pilot 401(k) Contributions
Amend Section 26 C. 8. c. to read:
For pilots hired (or rehired) on or after January 1, 2013, provide for automatic pre-tax employee contributions from earnings (unless the pilot elects otherwise) equal to 5% of earnings, beginning with the payroll period next following or coincident with the 90-day period following the Employee’s date of hire (or rehire), and increasing by 1% of earnings each year thereafter, to 10% of earnings.

This LOA does NOT change what the company puts in for you. The company contribution goes in regardless of what you put in. In other words, if on day 1 of new hire class, you elect to take your employee contribution to 0%, the company will put in their full share.

I would go 88,320,73n. 88 and 320 are in MSP. Rumor of 73n MSP base.

I've heard MSP-ATL is also tough. I think there are a number of dispatchers that fly that route and they can book JS earlier than pilots.
Like someone else mentioned, -88 if it's available because you'll have a chance to get home based quicker. Very important to most commuters!

Of the two, I'd go 73N. I really enjoy the trips on the aircraft and it's an OK plane to fly. I haven't flown the 717, but the trips are similar to -88 flying, and I didn't much care for those trips.

Have a friend that use to do MSP-DTW. Said it was a pain because of all the former north guys now forced to commute to DTW to fly the big iron since they closed the MSP 742 and 330.

What about for a low seniority Detroiter? 7ER, 737, or 717?? (most spots are NYC and ATL)
