But you are correct, I have not received numbers from interview classes since Jan 9. However it was reported that they are continuing to interview 3 days per week.
Well done Mike. I'm still suspicious of the whole July OTS bit. If that were to happen, some CJO would expire eventually. The math just doesn't add up.

CJOs are good for 18 months so even the very first OTS hires wouldn't expire til April 2015. That said, for the guys who need work before that, they may not be able to wait in the pool nearly that long and could depart for another job. One guy in my interview class from Oct already did that.

Good point ColdUpHere. You are probably right, but I was basing my math on just a handful of OTS a month, versus all the poolies and pilots they are interviewing on a weekly basis. I choose to stay optimistic though. Maybe it's just my defense mechanism kicking in;-)

FYI, they WILL let your CJO expire and you will have to re-interview...at the back of the line, I might add.

This is why i don't like people using the word "hired" until they have an id badge.

I think the doom and gloom may come from the reality that RA has not given approval for more than the original 300 pilots (including furloughed pilots). While most in the flight ops management seem to think this will have to go higher, as of today it has not. (Per very good source)

As was wisely stated above, you are not "hired" until you are in class with a badge. Maybe the realization that you personally can do nothing to change or speed up the process will ease your mind.

With all the airplanes that are arriving in the next 2 years, I can't imagine that every one of you will not be hired before your 18 months are up.

I read something that said 300 new hires in addition to the furlough returnees.

I know this is not set in stone but I'm curious as to why the Compass numbers are reflected as 10 per month instead of 20?

Presumably due to the annual limit of 25% of the Compass pilots' seniority list.
