Of the pool of 68, 9 flowed on 1/13/2014 and 9 more will flow on Feb 3rd. So after the Feb 3rd class only 33 more XJ pilots will flow up. June will be the last month with XJ flow ups assuming there are monthly classes.

I know this is weird but "flows must have degree now" SSP's "don't"

The "vault letter" is real and confirmed by DAL bigwig. It only covered SSP's not flows. Off the streets and flows still require a degree. SSP's do not, and have been hired sans degree. I asked and he said, "We can do whatever we want...we're Delta Airlines".

To make things even stranger Compass flow does not require a degree to flow but Compass requires one to be hired at Compass.
I think 2-3 compass flows overall out of all flows do not have degrees
Looking at the latest Compass seniority list 279 have flow rights left after the Jan 13th class of 20 already having seniority #

That must be to accommodate those who once had a degree, but somehow lost it.

Recall that Compass was created and fully owned by NWA to operate 76-seat jets. No degree was required initially to be hired at Compass, and there were reciprocal flow rights between NWA and Compass with no qualification requirements, including a degree, for Compass pilots, as they were all hired by NWA's HR department.

Reciprocal flow rights between NWA and Mesaba were later agreed to as the result of a grievance settlement. Because they had not been hired by NWA, Mesaba pilots were subject to NWA's normal hiring standards in the flow agreement.

When Delta merged with NWA, Delta assumed both flow agreements. Because Delta requires a degree as part of its normal pilot hiring standards, Mesaba pilots are now subject to that requirement.

Does anyone know what approx date they are up to for the background checks complete/cleared to train emails? It seems like this part of the process is taking a long time. I am wondering if, based on the fact that December poolies wont get class dates for quite some time, they are delaying background checks until closer to the actual class dates.

Did you get a training date with the cleared to train email, or just the heads up that it is coming?

2 same.
No training date so far but it looks like it might be about a month notice for class. October interviewees might be looking at April, I think...
