Regarding the poolie spreadsheet: It might be worth making ONE call to the guy at Delta that coordinates the training dates, Andy F., I think. Explain that you are trying to keep an informal chart to give an idea to poolies on when then might be called. It keeps them informed and keeps them from calling Delta themselves. Maybe he'd help fill in the gaps. I don't think he'd mind if the call was professional and mindful of their wishes to share or not to share.

Andy Frey, very nice guy. And a Citadel grad, to boot.

Badgerned, or anyone else who knows, why does the spreadsheet show some class drops containing more aircraft than people in the class?

From my understanding there are more aircraft than people in class because the flow ups pick aircraft well before they actually get to class.

I just post the best information I can get into the spreadsheet.

Also, if anyone knows someone that was given a CJO for the Nov 18, 25, and 26 interview dates that would be helpful info. Currently the 12 May class spans interviewees from 12 Nov to 4 Dec. There is a total of 50 CJO from those dates so something is wrong considering the class size is only 24. Even if you take out the 16 from the phantom Nov, 18, 25, and 26 dates, that still leaves 34 for an overage of 9 OTS. So either people are deferring or have left the pool, or I just haven't accounted for some missing variable.

I update the spreadsheet this morning. Since class dates are offered sequentially, I have cleared the phantom classes. On deck is 5 Dec. Cheers.

Health insurance starts the same time too. Even though it may take a few days to update, they will cover from day one.

With so many classes per month I'd be very suprised if most classes don't contain MD88 positions. The recent one was an oddity to smooth out the over all needs as well as filling up the last great ER staffing binge in a last minute mad frenzy to cover one summer's schedule before the drawdown starts.
