I use Tricare Prime still, but I use Delta Air Lines' Delta Dental and the Davis Vision...both of those are great deals in comparison to the Military retiree vision and dental plans.

I start Sep 8 and am planning on Standard with the ASI Supplemental. Gets you out of the PCM-referral system and you can go straight to a specialist when you need it. I had originally planned on Prime until a couple guys from Delta sold me on the Standard/Supplemental option. With a company Supplental Plan, you pay your premiums with pre-tax income, there's there's a little tax advantage to it.

2 Sep and 8 Sep classes have been filled. Heard they started making calls for 15 Sep class this past Monday. I have a buddy that was called for that class.

Hey simms,

I've been off here for a couple weeks. Did you interview already? If so how did it go?

Thanks!

I received a letter from DAL yesterday requesting an interview.
I haven't called to schedule just yet, given conflicts in the near term with current job. Can you or anyone else recently through the process estimate how much lead time I will have when I call to schedule the interview? One week? three weeks? six weeks?

Thanks, and I hope I haven't overlooked recent information already in the forum somewhere....

Default DAL Poolie Info

I was initially given a date 8 weeks out, then offered one a month earlier.

The scheduling folks are willing to work with you. Have your calendar/schedule in your hand when you call. They had several dates available when I called. They would rather schedule once, but if life/work gets in the way, they will even work with you on a reschedule.
