You are getting $30K a year more than we did. May I humbly suggest paying for a hotel? Training may prove stressful at times, the thousand bucks you save is not worth the morning commute, or the lack of privacy you may not have in someone else's home. Cheers H

Good advice! Plus, the price of a cheap laptop that will run your systems/training thumb drives/CD's while you study is well worth it when compared to the anxiety of having a poor performance on a SV/MV/LOE.

I recommend the Extended Stay if you have the means...it is so choice!

Nope. Use Google Maps or Waze to avoid traffic on I-20 during rush hour. I've heard Conyers folks say there are back roads that will take you to the airport avoiding traffic but I'm not familiar with them. Overall, good place to make the daily commute with no major problems

I drove in from a friend's house from the south during the week of my interview and had no issues. If they were family I wouldn't hesitate doing it for Sims but for longer than a week I plan on finding something closer.

Everything after the 1st bid choice is as worthless as underboob on a boar hog. Without knowing what the preceding bid choices were, there is no way to determine the possibilities. Assume a pilot of seniority #5000 has NYC M88 A as his second bid. If that pilot's first bid is DTW 744 A, then this pilot's first realistic bid is the NYC M88 A and he would be a player for you to consider. If that same pilot's first bid were ATL 717 B, then the second bid of NYC M88 A is irrelevant because this pilot would most definitely get ATL 717 B and thus he would not be a player for you to consider.

Additionally, any pilot can change what they have in the system right up until the bid closes rendering any time and effort you have put towards trying to figure things out completely useless. It's just my opinion, but don't waste a second of your life worrying about what other people might be bidding. It's pointless. Focus instead on what you really want. If you want something, bid it. If you don't want something, don't bid it.

Who told you that? Just look on the CQ disc itself, the Mac instructions are right there.

I essentially use the Windows partition of my mac as a second windows machine. The only time I ever boot it up is to do required windows-only DL stuff. The rest of the time I don't even think about it. I have a 1TB HDD, so surrendering 30Gb to a windows partition was a small price to pay. That said, I was fairly comfortable doing a partition, installing windows, & finding & installing the appropriate drivers for a Win7 install on a Mac. Not everyone will be, and for them buying a cheap burner netbook is probably good advice.

We were told in class that they had stopped doing that, at least for the initial homestudy CBTs - which is why they're now giving us copies of Win7. I looked over the contents of the memory stick, all .exe & .ini, definitely windows-only. For the CQ disc/stick perhaps it's different.

Thank you Sir. Furthermore, w/ all the new hire Flight Attendants running around, there may well be additional expectations regarding on base housing and privacy concerns you have yet to consider. Welcome to Delta, THE NEW ONE! Cheers H
