They take the actual holidays off. No guarantee that you won't train right before or right after, however.

Question

Thanks for the reply!

Another question if anyone in class recently knows: Last four digits of my SSN begin with "0" (zero). Would that place me at the top or bottom?

Got it. I knew I had seen something recently on that issue. Thanks for the clarification. I think calling it a "cheesy way around the limit" is putting it nice. Sounds plain ****ty to me.

From what I can tell, they've not shortened the sim times themselves, but reduced the amount of time between sim periods.

"Maintenance? Those things don't need maintenance. What could possibly go wrong with them? It's not like they're actual airplanes."*

*Possibly said some bean counter trying to eke more "synergy" out of the system.

The training department is running at capacity new hires are getting e periods. There is tdy training going on (subcontracted sims) etc. instructors are being hired and trained. The machine is running on all cylinders for all the potential new hire airplanes.

Heard a rumor of a bigger than expected RFP with 50 787-9s and some number (35ish) of 330neos or 350-9s. It will all be price dependant. Of course I'll believe it when I see it.
