For those of you who stayed at the Hilton on Virginia for your interview, is there any type of special rate for interviewees?

Ask for the Delta rate. They could be sold out of that rate though. Kind of like the Mil rate, they only offer so many rooms at the discounted rate.

Last Fall, the Hilton didn't offer a Delta or a military rate but certainly worth asking the question to see if that's changed.

Just make sure you are talking to the front desk, not reservations (call center in another country).

I went to priceline and chose "atlanta airport north" 3 star or better hotel and named my price. Any hotel on atlanta airport north has shuttles to Headquarters free of charge. I stayed at the Westin.
$79/night

This is a significant contradiction to an estimate posted in the other thread that stated 125 per month until February and then 50 a month until June.

Perhaps the real plan is somewhere in the middle?

A month ago I was in training, and the training dept had just been told 115/mth til spring. No middle man, rumors, etc. We've seen 75/40 classes since (115).

The Crew resource newsletter that came out today said " In order to meet the 2015 summer demand we will need to hire and train up to 115 pilots per month over the coming months"

I recall a flt ops memo that talked about the 135 monthly number a while back but not sure. It is obviously a moving target.

It all depends on how many guy's/gal's complete training on time. There are many variables in the training cycle. Sim availability, extra time for some, etc all slows down the training cycle. The last thing the company wants to do is hire an have a back log on the front end. With the large number of new hires needed, training is stretched to their limit. Any blip in the process backs everybody up. Just be glad the new hires today will have a great career ahead of them.

No. Do NOT use a Delta discount if you are not a Delta employee yet. That would be frowned upon. There are plenty of affordable rates at the hotels near there that all offer transportation.
