38 picks in, and all five jets were still on the board.

Probably figured they could bid out of NYC the fastest on that plane.

I will say that the 88 guys in my class (12/2/14) will likely never see reserve if they stay in NYC....the rest of us will have a few months of it.

Which aircraft will get me to 400 hours the fastest and how long should it take to get there?

The ER. I started in March and still have about 350 in the 717 with about 300 cycles

Most of the people in the ER are way over 400 with less than 100 cycles

88 got me 400 hrs in 6 months. I live in base and picked up a few day trips here and there. I also converted in June, so I flew 75+ a month during the busy month.

They obviously understand how relative seniority works. There's far more to QOL (and even pay) than the prettiest flight deck.

However I can say the same thing for the 737. Never sat reserve. Off probation super quick w the hours.

Do you live in base? That helps. I got to 400 hours in six months on the ER. I live in base and didn't sit reserve.

It's pretty hard to predict what fleet will allow you to fly the most. I suggest picking an airplane based on base and schedule preference. Probation isn't a big deal if you aren't the type of person who lies, cheats, or steals.
