The 7ER is currently backed up for both sim and IOE. Starting in May some 7ER pilots will be sent to Miami for sims and that may help with the wait times. The 73N is already using Miami. There are also two brand new 73N sims that were delivered a few weeks ago and being put together in the training center they will hopefully be operational very soon. The MD88 is also seeing some delays. The amount of movement right now is amazing.

Just wondering how long it would take someone awarded the 756 NY to make their way to Atlanta?

Interesting how things change. When I went through last year I don't think anybody had more than about 2 weeks off in any airplane. I had just over a week before starting and they were trying to get some guys in my drop to voluntarily start the following Monday after indoc finished. (Nobody wanted to do it...). The training shop and the sims must be packed if people are waiting that long.

Keep it coming......

Do you mean the 7ER NYC or 765 category?

I don't think new hires are getting the 765 category but on the last bid they were looking for 765NYC crews to bid off and expanding the ATL 765 category.

Anybody venture a guess as to how long before a new hire could hold a line on ATL -88?

Roughly three months reserve is probably a reasonable expectation. Plus or minus a month

For clarification: 7ER category is the 757-200/300 and the 767/767ER. Domestic and international mixed.
The 765 category is the 767-400 (glass and strictly international (I think)) so a new hire is unlikely to get the 765 for some time.

But then again, that's what I thought about the 7ER as well...

Hey just curious what plane I should choose if I am trying to eventually get SEA as a base(preferably as quick as possible). Also need to
Confirm which airplanes they have in SEA-73,7er and 330 correct? How many pilots in the SEA base? How long until I can hold it?Trying to figure out what would be best for me and my family to get west. Thanks!
