Make sure you have the Immunizations tech write the yellow fever shot down in a World Health Organization "International Certificate of Vaccination" PHS-731 (yellow, passport-size shot record).

I was ahead of the game and went right in to base medical to get the shot and a printout of the records only to later receive the Indoc email which required that it be written down in the yellow booklet.

Easy fix, but one trip would have been better than two.

How often do you have to have the yellow fever shot? Or does it expire? Military have me mine years ago...I thought it was a once and done.

Delta says it has to be within 10 years. I think the military has it tied to deployments somehow.

My YF shots in the military were 1993/2003/2013. Exactly 10 years apart. For 2003 I was about to deploy, but 2013 I was in Mississippi. Of course maybe that explains it as well! Also, I'm an Apr 14 CJO and got my Cleared to Train email yesterday.

In the interest of bumping this thread back up, has anyone gotten a call for the 7/6 class yet? If not I imagine those will be coming next week. Any intel on that class size would be appreciated. Apr 23rd CJO just hoping to make it into the 7/20 class at this point.

A buddy with a 21 APR CJO got the "cleared to train" e-mail but no date. I've heard they wait until inside 4 weeks. Next Monday would make it 3 weeks for 7/6. I'm 13 May CJO so hoping for some deferrals.

About 16 SSP pilots were called today for a 7/20 class.
Buddy of mine in INDOC said they are not having a 7/6 class, only a 7/20 class, and it going to be relatively small.
Just what I heard....
