I wonder if the struggles at republic to hire and the other regionals struggling with staffing if it might speed hiring and/or purchasing small narrowbodies from the regionals that can't staff them.

I don't like that our regional bros are struggling but maybe this will end up getting more jobs offered to them at mainline.

Seems like June or July CJO's will be getting 2016 classes.

There's also an alternate way on deltanet under the pilot selection tab. My understanding is the alternate way gets your friend scored quicker.

Do you think it would be wise to have someone do this for me after attending the OBAP career fair as opposed to before? I'm wondering if I have them wait until after I attend and then submit it for scoring, if the score will be higher...assuming Delta gives points for meeting with them at the job fair. Thanks!

That's a concern for those that have "6 month" validity notated on their CJO.

yes and no. it says you have to be offered a class by 6 months, so hopefully they get a class schedule and offer classes within that 6 month window but not starting within 6 months.

That's not what my letter says.

It says if a class is not given within 6 months, the offer may be reconsidered and could become null and void.

yes, a class date offered, not started.

it says: "If a start date is not assigned within 6 months of the date of this letter, this offer will be reconsidered and may become null and void"

Does anyone know if there is any reason to maintain an AirlineApps account after receiving a CJO? Does pilot recruiting still reference that for contact information or anything like that? Membership renewal is coming up and I'd rather not buy a year for one month of keeping the app alive.

I thought it was that the recommending pilot can only recommend the same applicant once every 12 months. If someone else recommended you after 6 months, the app would get pulled again. Nobody seems to know for sure. Does anyone on here know, absolutely, one way or the other?

I agree. I thought it was one recommendation from the same employee every 12 months. I was also told that every recommendation triggers a scoring which would make spacing an applicants recommendations out over a period of time the best course of action.
