We received an email today showcasing the talents and necessity of ALPA E&FA.

Certainly hourly rates, per diem, night pay, door pay, international pay, DC, etc. come with a cost.

But it is also true that vacation daily value, training daily value, min day also come with a cost.

IMO the first and foremost job of the experts at ALPA E&FA is to cost our concessions since 9/11.

I believe these concessions to total over $16 BILLION and this number climbs each and every day our concessions are still in place. I.e. our defined benefit pension. This number alone is in the billions, as is our hourly rates which need 18% just to hit the 11 year old Delta hourly rates with no accounting for inflation.

It is only after ALPA E&FA gives us this number that we can truely begin to have a perspective on a truly historic C2015.

If I were management, I would love to gloss over the billions in Delta pilot concessions and negotiate with a clean slate. I would love to forget that the Delta pilots still work under a concessionary PWA. I would love to forget the Delta pilots contributed Billions more than any other party and are the major reason for the success Delta enjoys today.

Let's ensure we educate all parties of our contribution. Let's ensure we are rewarded for our sacrifices.

Jerry

rah rah sis boom bah.

Show us where you came up with $16 billion.

I will give you credit though, you admit that everything has a cost. That is the most realistic thing you have said. (Standing by for the inevitable "managing expectations" crowd.)

Thank you for your well thought out and intellectual response.

Do you deny we have made billions in concessions since 9/11?

I will be more than happy to have my $16 billion dollar number corrected by ALPA E&FA. I have requested this information too many times to count. We have sent resolutions to the Delta MEC requesting this information. They refused to honor the resolution from their pilots.

Why??????

Are we ashamed of our concessions? Has management asked us not to share the total the same way they made DALPA hide their draconian concessionsary opener?

You and the insiders are outgunned this time. We will not accept a repeat of C2012.

This May at the Delta BOD meeting they will announce further billions returned to the shareholders while we continue with our conessionary PWA.

Our execs compensation is up 300% to 700% since chapter 11 and we need 18% plus to hit hourly rates that are over 10 years old with no accounting for inflation. And I'm sure that is fine with you.

Who's side are you on??

Jerry

Truth hurts?

Do you deny we have made billions in concessions since 9/11?

Nope, never had. I also don't pull numbers out of thin air and throw them out as fact.

So you continue to throw it out as a fact. Gotcha.

Draconian? Concessionary? Man, ready fire aim Jerry.

Insider? lol. and who is "we"? "We" will "accept" for whatever the groups votes as being acceptable. If that happens to be a repeat of 2012 (which I hope it is not) then that will be the deal. You might not like it, but you have only have one vote, and all your straw man arguments and hyperbole won't change that fact. Insider. Funny stuff right there.

I can't worry about inflation. That is something that is beyond my control. I am in the top 5% of wage earners in the country Jerry. So are you. Your woe-is-me battlecry will fall on deaf ears in the real world.

Who's side are you on??

Mine.

The rates are based on Delta +7% for 2015 but of course when DAL profit sharing is factored in it's more like Delta - 13%

I'm sure our company folks will use a chart like this to show how we are "ahead" of our peers. Profit Sharing should not be in the graph...for us. For AA I understand why. For us it should be apples to apples. Hourly rates/vac, etc compared to the same.

Love these patronizing, condescending posts..... they never get old.

PilotFrog 04-02-2015 03:55 AM

One thing I liked with this small raise we got yesterday is that when the rates were compared between AA, United, and Delta it was straight hourly pay, and no mention of PS or any other form of compensation. Sets a precedence I believe.
