Good grief guys, why all this continual screeching about profit sharing? I haven't met anybody (myself included) that will vote for a TA that funds a payraise with PS.

I have to tell you Tsquare...I mean Bender, I've read every one of your posts since you got the nerve to go from lurker to poster. From those posts, my impression is that you've been nearly obsessed with the idea of monetizing profit sharing. Since you've been trying really hard to make this case, I'd be really surprised if you didn't vote to reduce profit sharing.

Pretty careful parsing of the language there. Nobody at DALPA has been talking about it...too much. ;)

Again, because you've been working hard to make that exact case.

I have no agenda. I just want to know if you really believe in your "logical" mind whether achieving a contract without any concession whatsoever is really achievable. Stop screeching about an agenda, lowering expectations and all that DPA talking point nonsense and talk to the issue. Tell me how to get a contract with a C2K+ inflation pay increase, trip touching vacations drop, a 7th week of vacation, increase in PS AND the 401k without any concession on our part whatsoever. Is it because we "deserve it" and that management will acknowledge that fact and just do it?

That's our tsquare. Say something that he doesn't agree with, and you're screeching.

Here's a Concession

Absolutely. I agree with you.

But PD said NO concessions ( I like your word, compromises, better btw). Period. None. Nada. Nunca. Nyet. I want to know how he proposes going about that. I would bet you aren't interested in holding your breath until we can achieve his nirvana.

A concession I could get behind is accepting a 45% pay increase (what they took from us) instead of the 50% pay increase.;):D

I know I've asked before, and of course it isn't on the Dalpa site, but does anyone still have a copy of the 2004 Delta payrates?

Are you trying to manage my expectations? TIC

Carl

You're 180 out son. I have no interest in monitizing PS at this time because it completely funds my 401k in the first quarter. Time/value of money Carl. But keep spinning.

You read into every post exactly what YOU want in order to further YOUR agenda. I really don't care what you think Carl. I really don't because it is painfully obvious to even the most casual observer. I am only interested in discussing opinions about the upcoming contract. You and PD and the usual screechers are the ones that are constantly beating the drum on this issue, and it is extremely premature at this point in time. And I'm not making any "case". I encourage everyone to read the TA when it comes out and make their own decision and vote accordingly.

Yep. Zero. 0.

Rep is the source.

Get smart though. If you were the company, what do you open at?

Remember, even though it's insulting, it's an opener and it's just business.
