I wasn't around for the famous DALPA sales job last time. I'm cautiously optimistic they learned their lesson, though, and hope this time is different. If it's NOT different, where do the opposing perspectives come from and how do they reach the masses? Please tell me this forum isn't the only alternative info source?

That's what I saw as well. Not much of what you would expect from a family awareness email (ie it's important to get your finances in order and build up a slush fund to keep you going in the event the company does not bargain in good faith). That happens when Ford and Harrison puts the stuff together and ALPA email blasts it for them.
Blah blah blah...before the contract amendable date (orange area). Our goal in the current negotiations remains the same; ... to achieve for each Delta pilot family a contract that meets their needs and secures contractual gains while the company prospers.
Ugh. That is A LONG WAY from anything like the historic contract they started with, not to mention restoration. Basically, we will be happy with some peanuts, even if we have to pay for them. We know you deserve more, but we will settle for any contract as long as it pays our pilots enough to keep a little food on the table. The most important thing is to get it done NOW, IMMEDIATELY, RIGHT AWAY, before our profit sharing checks get any more out of control!

Okay...so pilots are going to have to actively seek out alternatives? Didn't know if others have access to distro to (sure, spam) the masses who will certainly be getting the DALPA words direct.

What were our profits and profit margins when we had defined benefit pensions, trips touching vacation, buying power that dwarfs what we have today, etc?
The dark side is attempting to focus us on the gains since chapter 11. The focus should be on restoration. They want us to settle for self funding crumbs and concessions.
