I know I am going to regret this, but:
That's an interesting theory, but nothing more.
Again, an interesting theory and since it fits your agenda it can't be anything BUT the truth.
Not really, and while we are here, define "rushed".
How long is an appropriate length of time?

We must hurry and reduce profit sharing.
We must hurry and add more 76 seat Jets at DCI.
We must hurry and degrade our sick leave.
We must hurry and grant staffing concessions.
Hurry! Before it's too late!
I'm sure if Richard were MEC chairman he would do the same thing.

Rushed is done at the next meeting right on management's timeline.
We must hurry and reduce profit sharing.

Not a single answer to the question posed. More emotional drivel Jerry. Try harder, and answer the question.

Reminding everyone that many of our bankruptcy concessions are still in place.
Given the billions in profits and billions being returned to the shareholders, the Delta pilots will not be taking concessions.
No more scope relief.
No more staffing reductions.
The Delta pilots prefer to build on our industry leading relationship, but do not underestimate our resolve and determination.
We have waited far too long.
The challenges ahead are unprecedented, but together we will overcome them and widen our lead in the industry.

YOU define "rushed and YOU define an "appropriate amount of time" to wait while we wind the clock.
There is NO, not ONE reason to rush an agreement that is concessionary or less than ideal in THE NEGOTIATING ENVIRONMENT we are in.
PARTICULARLY while we have profit sharing.
Time for the pilots to control the pace of negotiation.

Quite a few actually. ANY concession on scope is an automatic no vote. I won't even look at section 3. Likewise for gutting sick leave (the 14 days per year followed by full doctor verification is a HECK NO) and other concessions.
And I understand (and to a limited extent agree with) time value of money WRT pay rates. I'm not saying we should turn down 30% today because we could maybe get 40% in 3 years or whatever. But I am saying that there is zero need for concessions to pay for whatever it is we get.
Oh and you mentioned drama, yet I guess some get a pass pretending to be empoverished dead zoners that can't feed their families and are headed towards retirement in a ditch unless we gut our contract for a pay raise by any means necessary. And I guess its not dramatic at all to say if we vote no for any given TA, based on its contents, that we are radical and unreasonable and the NC is going to quit in a hissy fit and the NMB is going to park us for many years and we'll get nothing etc.

FYI I communicated with my rep ref: some of the crazy rumors - ie the "proposed" SLOA policy, the LCA issue and pay.
He stated that in his opinion the MEC will not give up our 240 (+) hours sick leave.
He stated that many many rumors on the forums are way off....but he said he would not address each one as the LEC agreed that would take too much of their time.
He also stated they plan on not budging from the 23G LCA issue with the FO removal.
Lastly he stated that once the negotiations are coming to a close, some items will change quickly as they look at value.
I'm not a DALPA lover but I have to believe they wouldn't sell us out like the current rumors say....

This is the best negotiating environment from our point of view arguably in industry history. There may be time value of money, but there is no time value of concessions.

No hurrying is opening with a letter to management and the Delta pilots. Reminding everyone of the life altering concesssions the Delta pilots have suffered. Over $15 billion and counting.
Reminding everyone that many of our bankruptcy concessions are still in place.
Given the billions in profits and billions being returned to the shareholders, the Delta pilots will not be taking concessions.
No more scope relief.
No more staffing reductions.
