Exactly right. Now the financial requirements of outsourcing Delta pilot jobs is actually quantified. Makes long term planning more accurate now.

and about what the value should have been?

1.5% of the EASK's actually being flown by Delta pilots.

$30 million is a dirt cheap solution when you put it that way.

Even cheaper when you realize this is a permanent reset. We've not only lost 4% of the EASK's in the past 4 years, we lose that for every year going forward.

260 jobs, $392 million

But you'll just have to trust me on this, it will show our hand to the company if I show you the data.

I think you will see the data soon. There is nothing secret. They fell 1.5% below the EASK. Very easy to calculate the job loss from that.

Whatever happens it''s too little too late and when we get a great TA they'll try and take credit for it instead of the people really doing the work for us. The agenda is discredit ALPA at every possible juncture.

Are you kidding? We could get a 10,000% pay raise and work rules that would allow us to not have to work all year while getting paid a full month and according to some on here we would have still left money on the table. As you said, it will always be an ALPA bash fest for some.

"We extract maximum leverage by controlling the timeline."

"We increase our chances of success with the credible threat of walking away when the company wastes our time."

Said no Dalpa negotiator ever.

Billions of dollars in revenue gone. Reservation canceled for ticket reservations numbering in the hundreds of thousands gone. A entire alliance shutdown! A probable loss in stock value in the billions. All because they came in at 47% instead of 48.5% on the EASK. Can you imagine the WSJ articles!

Red herring. No arbitrator would ever do that, but even if they did, we could agree to an immediate side letter re-allowing it for a few months, or longer, and leverage that hammer to force meaningful changes with penalties for non compliance. Like from now on our half is no less than 51.5% or the JV is null and void. I bet they'd stay in compliance then.
