I guess the is mostly addressed to the P2P guys on here that are trying to explain some complex issues.
First, I appreciate your efforts. I'm not one of they guys who think you're spies or have other agendas and like I said I appreciate your efforts at education. There are a lot of "old heads" for lack of a better word, who have been on here since the merger contract and SLI discussion. We come and go (I just came off a 6 month break to get my mind right:D) and its great to see the old heads perspective. With that said, since I know your in contact with some of our senior leadership, I need to say the following and please take it back to them.............There are lots of the moderates that don't come on here much anymore that think this contract is a mistake. I point to myself, Denny Crane, shoot even CogF16 who I haven't seen on here in years. I'll tell ya, we're the swing voters (most of us voted yes last time) you need and trust me........we're underwhelmed! Food for thought, Your Uncle Ferd Not gonna be an easy sell. |
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Write you reps!!

How on earth did the NC present the widebody scope? I'm hoping my comprehension of the bullet points is completely off here. Did they actually agree that flying the 380 from CDG to JFK has the same value as a 757 from CDG to PIT? How was this presented? What supporting data suggested this was even a remote possibility for our TA?
When we were sold the JV at it's inception the major point I remember was the EASK metric was good for DL pilots because of our smaller gauge WB fleet. Also, is SEA a hub in the TA or not? |

I haven't caught up yet, but about the switch from EASKs to Block hours is huge! I know Virgin wasn't included, but Virgin only needs 2 Pilots for flights up to 9 1/2 hours. That means for a similar flight they already fly 1/3 less than we do. Thier block hours are already lower than hours! If AF or KLM do the same we are going to get SLAUGHTERED with this new language.

Curious, was there ever a case (in any airline), where the second offer was more lucrative than the first?

- JV compliance; I want more clarification on the difference between EASK's and BH's. My general feeling when they were talking about it at the meeting today in detail was "that's not so bad", but I want to be able to explain it to a kindergartner before I'm totally comfy with it. |

It's OE. Not LCA as I understood it.
Again, there is more to follow. We will offer a full explanation as soon as we can. Sorry not to have a full accounting for this yet. But we will get you the facts as soon as we can. You are welcome to play along, but this TA needs no explanation...you know like a baby barfing on your shirt needs no explanation. |

How can going from 67% BH to 50% BH in the biggest JV in the system be "not so bad"?
