I am for this meeting only. But for all the other stuff I do to argue against your droning fear and anger, that sir, is absolutely free. |

That work better? A good contract doesn't need careful sales manipulation/maneuvering to make it look good. It stands on it's own, even in bullet format. To answer your question, I would rather you didn't bring us convoluted info trying to get us to yes, even as a volunteer. Take the day off and let someone willing to present a serious pro/con take the reins. Even better, if we still have a few good guys left running our union (that aren't being led by the nose), let them vote this down and send it back. It is not the TA this pilot group deserves given the lost decade, BK and the mound of money Delta will be sitting on these next three years. PS- Let's not help management turn Delta into a broker of ticket sales flown by their dozen subsidiary airlines. Ridiculous! |

We've heard they wanted profit sharing for quite some time. In this case, the rest of the employees are going to ride our coat tails by losing some PS too. This is huge. The company wants it, so does Wall Street. Shortly after we lose it, non contract will to. That will further go to pay for our pay raises. Cost neutral. Wake up and smell the Jet A.

Is Sharpestool's shift over in the GO so I can start reading again?

Ed. So do you want an explanation or are you happy with half info?

I guess the is mostly addressed to the P2P guys on here that are trying to explain some complex issues.
First, I appreciate your efforts. I'm not one of they guys who think you're spies or have other agendas and like I said I appreciate your efforts at education. There are a lot of "old heads" for lack of a better word, who have been on here since the merger contract and SLI discussion. We come and go (I just came off a 6 month break to get my mind right:D) and its great to see the old heads perspective. With that said, since I know your in contact with some of our senior leadership, I need to say the following and please take it back to them.............There are lots of the moderates that don't come on here much anymore that think this contract is a mistake. I point to myself, Denny Crane, shoot even CogF16 who I haven't seen on here in years. I'll tell ya, we're the swing voters (most of us voted yes last time) you need and trust me........we're underwhelmed! Food for thought, Your Uncle Ferd I'll give you all of that. I shared your underwhelming sentiment when the details first started leaking out. I still have some large concerns...most notably: - 23G5; I want more clarification on this. From my perspective this is the biggest negative of the entire deal. I DO NOT like that trips are being pulled during the PBS run. - Sick; I want more clarification on the form 8500 issue. Other than that I don't really GAS because I don't call in sick unless I'm sick. If they want me to verify every once in awhile, so be it. The upside of an LTD bank for some of my unused time is offsets that to an extent for me. - JV compliance; I want more clarification on the difference between EASK's and BH's. My general feeling when they were talking about it at the meeting today in detail was "that's not so bad", but I want to be able to explain it to a kindergartner before I'm totally comfy with it. Those are the biggies for me. TLV to 81 comes with RCC language in our favor or it snaps back to 80. There are several other items that I want to explore in further detail, but after watching the whole show today it is not the horrific deal that some are painting on here. It still remains to be seen if the MEC will even send it out. More details are forthcoming, and once I saw the rationale behind the decisions I have to say I could argue it either way. Tomorrow should be interesting. I'm not sure they will even get to a vote by the end of the day, given the pace today, but I'd rather the reps take their time and get it right. |
