You don't seem to understand that many of the NO voters aren't demanding MORE they are demanding LESS of the LESS. The "FOs you flew with" will figure it out in anyone else's "cockpit".

But continue...The more wackos we have defending this thing, the more rational thinkers will realize the answer to POS2015 is NO!
Ted, I agree that it's funny (albeit annoying). The DALPA propaganda machine is like a robot that has only been programmed with two responses. There is a really funny animation on YouTube if I can find it.

Pilot: We care about QOL. How will this contract improve it?
DALPA: You will make more money.

Pilot: I'm not asking about money. I want my life to be better and have more time at home.

DALPA: We will be parked.

Pilot: So that means we can keep our current contract?

DALPA: You will make more money. We will be parked. And time value of money.

I'll admit, it's a gutsy strategy, pinning all their sales on one item. I just hope it doesn't work.

Yup, but it's a LOSS of Money, if you are an F/O using the LCA trip drops to enhance your paycheck.

I disagree. All things considered, the money does not "greatly surpass" C2012.

Do you agree it's too late? We MAY have had a chance to reengage if the MEC hadn't passed it. I still don't think the company would have wanted to show any union had that much power/influence.
Actually I see it the other way around. I think the only chance for improvement is through a rejected ratification. It's very risky and I don't think the money can be successfully addressed considering the path and the time required.

This is why I'm trying to ascertain the mood of the most vocal critics here. If this thing can pass with modification of largely non-money issues, perhaps there is a chance. It's risky. If the company digs in, we could pay a large price to fix those items. As long as that is considered, I'm good with someone valuing them in this manner. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

Perhaps "greatly" is subjective. Let's say there is an additional 360 million per year into Delta pilots pockets and the pay rates are the highest in history. That is not subjective.

Do we get enough in a timeline that doesn't eat up any gains we achieve. I think we can all agree that beyond 18 months the numbers get real ugly. We will have to hope that the NMB agrees that our position is sound and management's position is unreasonable.

Short of that, we need to see capitulation from the company. We haven't seen capitulation from the others currently engaged with NMB. SWA really hurting right now from a TVM perspective.

Do SWA, UPS, and FedEx move if we shoot this down? Why would they? Could we join them waiting for someone to push the bar upward. On the other hand, if we ratify will their managements commit to the new standard? More importantly would the NMB now see our industry leading contract as the new reasonable position? If so, we could see those carriers break the NMB hold and advance. This would bode well of course for us 2.5 years down the road when we are back at it again.

Thoughts?
It's a long time between NOW and 'getting parked' by the NMB. In the mean time, just how motivated do you think this pilot group is going to be to "Engage the Customer" or better yet, use all of their sick leave? It could be a long, hot, dry, summer if Richard fks this up, and ruins the morale of the pilot group.

No Bucks, no Buck Rogers.

D***IT, IT'S ABOUT TIME TO DO THE SAME THING TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!

How in God's name can we expect to win playing with one arm tied behind our backs while they play dirty like that????

Turn about is fair play. And karma is a real biotch!

Ok I'm done tonight. Damn tired.

I guess I'm presumed to be a Delta pilot afterall. Nobody taking me up on my offer to meet over a beer to produce ID badges.

Interesting discussion.

From which we can subtract any profit sharing we get under the current contract......
