I don't think you even need 15 days sick.Say you call in sick for a 1 day trip-now you have 13 days off/vacation.15th day you call in sick because maybe a different family member sick-now you have your 15 days for them to wack you when you only used 2 sick days.

The DHS is a guy. He's the AME that helps pilots get their tickets back from the FAA. From what I hear he's a good dude and has helped many pilots continue their career. What I'm worried about is his "designee". That could be anyone, Sedgwick, Bob from India(the scheduler for Continental-Bing it), or Dr Kevorkian. Whomever it is, you can bet their job won't be to help us, it will be to deny us.

I "think" the way it was explained at the MEC meeting is that it is 15 "work days." Days off between trips would not count towards that 15. I would like to see confirmation on that though.

Not calling in well, hows that gonna work? How will scheduling know you're going to show up for your next trip?

But, to answer your question, they didn't. You are assumed well unless you call in sick again. |

And it's being spun as a "win" for pilots. |
Professor,
I've been asked by more than one FA if there's language in the TA that gives pilots nonrev/JS priority over FAs. I didn't see any such language, and on it's face it seemed so ridiculous I just dismissed it out of hand. But I keep hearing it. Seems it's a rumor being spread by FAs and by some pilots to FAs. |

Then add in something about their lost profit sharing paying for it. :D |

When I hear crazy stuff like that from a F/A, I just smile and say, "Oh yeah, didn't you hear? We are all getting S1 passes now, for all our family members too..."
Then add in something about their lost profit sharing paying for it. I figured some pilots might have been messing with them... |
