Thanks man. I appreciate the notes from you and others.

And FYI FedEx just got their contract offer. It should be public soon.

Carl, enjoy holding court.

I know that tough inspections are not always appreciated Professor.

But that's what we do here...tough inspections.

You know, let's say the TA goes down and MD is replaced and so on, I wonder what would happen if the new regime releases the C2015 survey results?

Well, since we now know the company's opener (TA15), and we know the MEC decided the company's opener would be good enough, I'm thinking, what could it hurt to release the collated results of the surveys.

Poker and all... We are playing low Chicago. The company opens with a 2 and we fold. Damn, lost my ante.

They'd all get a fair trial.

Right before the hangin'

The company is probably not laughing, probably pretty angry at MD and really angry at all these yahoos on the interweb like APCF, Chit Chat, FB or all three.

Professor,

Thanks for your work.

But don't be angry that Carl, and the rest of us, are asking HARD questions about the "LEGAL" definitions in the TA.

The LEGAL definitions are what the company will use when the contract is done and it's parsed to the various sections within the company.

When its done, the contract will be sent to various departments within DAL and each department will dissect the contract in order to extract the maximum profit.

This is why words like "Can" and "Should" versus "Shall" and "Will" are important. Those words are critical.

It's something a first year law student would understand...why can't our crack team of DALPA lawyers understand that.

Your voting members, who pay you, are concerned with the LEGAL LANGUAGE in the contract to know what is PROHIBITED....versus what is INTENDED.

BobZ 06-17-2015 07:13 PM

we once had an intended agreement with the company that if the other employees had a restoration of sacrificed vacation time....the pilot group would also likewise have vacation reinstated.

well....there is probably no point in telling any more of the story...but for you newer pilots....the take away was...'a contract....is after all.....a contract'....:)

15 seconds of (evidently) a 4 minute rant:

Somewhere they say is an audio version with a lot more expletives.

So as someone else said, maybe the cops were there to protect the pilots from the Chairman instead of the other way around?
