The quotes are correct. January 1, 2016 the industry average jumps 3% and January 1, 2017 it jumps 3% more.

Not saying one way or the other what is better, just figure most people can figure it out on their own. 65% already did.
Delta would still be making money at 80/ barrel, just a lot less. Hard to ask for pay cuts when you are profitable. I'm just playing devils advocate. Not my circus not my monkeys.

OK, so we have to wait until January 1st and then we get our 3% raise as promised?

No, I don't think so. When the non-contracts get their raise on 01December we will be at parity with UAL and AMR.

I think the companies position is that until the non-contracts get another raise in 2016 3B4 does not kick in.

I say I don't think so because I am not sure. At the C-16 Meeting Chairman Malone stated that he asked the laywers to look at this issue.

We can always hope but I am not holding my breath on this. Time will tell.

True, for this year we will average close to 80 a barrel on actual costs with our hedging.

It's not even a gray area. A grievance will be wasted money and spend arbitration capital we may need later. Malone won't file a grievance and it's the correct thing to do.

Has anyone called the MEC and asked about status of 3B4?

He will if the MEC directs him to as the resolution states.

My guess is, it will pass the MEC after the C44 purge.

So we waste a bunch of money and arbitrators time. They have a collective memory on unions that do that. It might bite us in the ass on something important like a seniority integration.

Feel better, got the DB jab in for the day? Careful, don't want to fall off that high horse of yours.
