Any idea where they'll be based?
Rumor has always been on the west coast replacing the 717 that would then be sent east most likely nyc.

Which then I guess they'd move the 88's out of nyc?

They absolutely were looking at putting the training department for the 190 in lax. But that was not set in stone.

But the staffing requirements weren't cut across the system to staff it. So that's a win. The rates are terrible though but we know they're willing to pay more.

But at least they're going to be flown by DELTA pilots and not a bunch of regional punks. That in itself is a huge move in the right direction.

No they won't be flown by regional punks, so that's good.

It'll instead just be a bunch of Delta d!ckheads.

Honest question - why are the c2012 pay rates for the E190 equal to the CRJ9? The E195 then has a significant paybump above the E190. This makes no sense - the CRJ9 is equivalent to an E175. Is there a lack of small airplane size recognition in the DALPA ranks?

Hope to see this resolved in C2016.

Small aircraft single class passenger counts:
CRJ7/ERJ170/MRJ70 = 70-80
CRJ9/ERJ175/MRJ90 = 88-90
ERJ190 =110
ERJ195/CS100/B717 = 120

I understand that we don't fly these in single class configuration - the numbers are just here for apples to apples comparison to illustrate the size and capacity differences between these aircraft.

Where's Bucking Bar? He's one of the primary guilty ones yelling that United would jump right on the 190s if we didn't vote yes.

ATLANTA, Dec. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will add up to 20 Embraer 190 and 20 new Boeing 737-900ER jets acquired through a new agreement with The Boeing Co.
It had to be difficult for Richard Anderson to eat his words.

I'm glad he did it though. It shows he is pragmatic and focused on economics. Not motivated by emotion or spite.

We've had some CEOs in the past who would never have done this.

Not just Bucking Bar.
That argument was pushed hard by our former Strategic Planning Committee.

We still have a one year new hire training freeze.

IOW, the training/staffing will be a major issue, if they don't bump up the pay.

Not our problem.

Wind the clock and let them fix it.

BTW, since we helped the company get a better deal, do we get any extra bonus?
