With all we have at stake are we seriously fretting about new hire hotel pay? New hire pay has more than doubled since I got here and now there is incredible upward movement, pay and profit sharing of 21%+ this year. Stick around for a few months, a crash pad won't kill you...

They pay hotel rooms for the new hire FAs. Course, they also put two to a room, and they test them every Friday. Need a 90% or better, or you leave that day. They get one free pass on being late to class, late a second time? Pack your bags. They also have a curfew while in training. Stay out late, and you're gone.

I think the pilot new hires get a better deal.

Did you know that new hires get their training pay added into the PS calculation? That should be worth at least a few hundred dollars.

I don't believe anyone is fretting. One guy said something about it. The rest of us (myself included who will be paying for my hotel or whatever very shortly) are in agreement.

Here's to a profitable 2016.

Well I guess they should have went to college.

Who?

It seem like most of the flight attendants I've talked to have college degrees.

...should have GONE to college. I try to suppress my inner grammar police, but when the error is in a post that points out someone's lack of education I can't stop myself.

ummm....since we are addressing grammar.... it would be most correctly stated as...." should have ATTENDED (and by implication...graduated) college"......

personally....I have went and gone to numerous colleges...... and I ain't been enrolled in any of them.

I have no problem getting hotels for new hires. Just because we got a bad deal doesn't mean those that follow should.

I imagine everyone agrees with you. It's just that no one is willing to give up anything for it. The company should throw that in for free.

I do like how the company talks up the Delta family during indoc.
Then when you come back for training, you're on your own. Not even an offer to crash on the couch.
Get sick? You better get a doctor's note, unless you want the evil step-father to lash you with his belt for failing to do the dishes.
But we're so glad you're here. Welcome to the family!
