Wouldn't worry about that. VA is a pretty tenuous pilot position. Those guys would die to be at DAL/UAL/AA, etc. I doubt they would go to the mat for an arbitration and risk the deal. My money is on any deal would be contingent on a prenuptial SLI.

Didn't the new ATL Reps just initiate the firing of RH, DAL Merger Chairman?

Well at least he is now free to consult for VA if the price is right

That would be a really bad thing for the Delta pilots.

Why? Would he try and sneak in a new concessionary sick leave policy during the negotiation?

I don't think he has been involved in contract negotiations. He has on the other hand produced strong results in SLI's.

Strong for who? He's a DAL seniority list pilot and DALPA union member. I prefer he stay away from all sides. I can't imaging him working against his DAL pilot brethren. Right? Oh yeah... Never mind.

Virgin, like Alaska and jetBlue have value as feeders for ME3 carriers and rapidly growing carriers from China.

Given the passenger flows and a SFO base - a Chinese carrier makes sense.

It would be in Delta's best interest to bring the VA pilots with the acquisition. Hiring 600 additional pilots, in addition to the current hiring requirements for Delta, would make bringing the VA pilots, who are current and qualified, an operational necessity.

There would be no prenuptial SLI, as it wouldn't be required. The VA pilots would defend their seniority rights as you'd expect of any pilot group. The Delta pilots would do the same. ALPA merger policy would be followed.

I think it is equally interesting that VA brings gate and market presence exactly where Delta needs it in to grow it's west coast international feed, take advantage of Mexico's open skies, and Love Field.I wouldn't say this is a "wild" rumor, perhaps more like speculation at this time.

Take a look at 1 D. 8. and 1 L. 2. & 3. in your PWA.

JMHO; with the prices Delta negotiates for airplanes, it is doubtful buying an airline provides any advantage compared to dealing with lessors and lienholders.

He has been asked directly several times if he had involvement in the onerous TA15 sick leave changes. He has dodged the question every time. So have his cronies
