Ok, all sounds seemless enough, as long as I have all my ducks in a row! And as I understand it according to the PWA - I'm allowed to bid whatever base/airframe my seniority can hold, correct?

I was ATL based before I left, living in P'cola. But we've moved to the Northeast now, and want to re-bid to NYC - which also certainly affects what I can hold....

Heyas,

My advice: anyone who gets a call regarding Mil leave should immediately call either their rep and/or the ALPA Military Liason. Don't wait and don't assume it's going to go away.

So since there's nothing written in the MLOA guide or PWA concerning sick leave within 7 days of MLOA, would that be an ALPA or a DOL issue? I don't like the idea of the CPO creating a "file" or giving the impression there's a black mark on mil members for something not written anywhere.

My guess is that it's not a "mark". But if you give them reason to open the door...

The world is your oyster. Any FO spot you want is available and probably even a few left seats are available.

Ok, so I put in mil leave a while back for beginning of October. I input the leave request before bidding was due for Sept schedules. My Sept line comes out and I just realize today I've been given a spillover trip right into my MLOA. I go into icrew to check the status of the MLOA and there is a note directing me to check vacation/training/sick (VTS) tab in icrew. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Of course I can't just drop trip b/c there's no reserve coverage....

That is weird. However the trip should drop regardless of reserve coverage if you post MLOA. Try going back into Icrew for future MLOA and re post. If that doesn't work try giving the CPSC a call. I found they're easier to work with than the CPO.

this. your mil leave will cause the trip to drop no matter what the reserve grid says

If we were on mil leave during the great computer debacle of 2016, do we still get the 2 Spirit passes? Mine aren't showing up in travelnet. Just curious...thanks!
