Average line of flying 17-19 days off with the productive trips they do.
rsv is all short call, though.

Yes, plus there contact applied to our manning formula's would require significantly less pilots for the operation.

GZSG (Jerry), let's be careful what we ask for, we may not like it.

Indeed it is, however the question is on a narrowbody jet, much of the year is the DL reserve is going to not fly enough reserve days that they would not do much better than 15 days free of flying duty.

Sooo... What do you know that the SWA pilots don't? Several posted here, and several I've talked to personally, believe it'll be a long time before they sign anything. As a matter of fact, they're hoping we sign first to help them out.

Converted for us $311. Apples to apples.

I won't even get into their vacation and 19 hour 3 day trips vs our 15:45.
I don't think they have many trips that are commutable on both ends. They typically have AM trips or PM trips. I've seen 3 day trips that weren't commutable in the 18-19 hour range here too. Not a lot of them, but they exist.

I think this is a case of be careful what you wish for.

And from what I've heard, vastly superior health insurance and infinitely superior vacation.

Ed has to open the wallet BIG TIME. No concessions. Period.

Meh. It is here too for the most part. 6-7 SC is a LOT. Coupled with trips you're going to get anyway and spending any substantial amount of time on LC is a fantasy for most pilots and a unicorn for commuters.

It does happen, though. I've spent quite a few years on reserve here in the past, and it appears it's likely in my near future again, too.

Pointing out the differences in work rules is critical.

Given the actual WN pilots inputs in here vs. Jerry's ramblings, it looks like they are expecting us to do the heavy lifting yet again. It would be nice if they led instead of followed for once...

I realize commuters like to start late on the first day and finish early the last day. That's not the safe or healthy way for pilots to operate. Actually SWA has it right. Stick to circadian rhythm (all AM's or all PM" or all red eyes for example). You feel better, live longer and enjoy your home life more on your off days.

FAR117 was a miscarriage and where it should have shored this up, completely failed. Our work rules should protect us (sometimes from ourselves) but they currently do not. Notice in the UPS contract they have circadian rhythm protection. This is the right way. Schedule with safety? The non ALPA carrier got it right.

You can't be serious? The work our Union has done thus far is nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL. If Delta had our Union and the unity our pilot group currently has you all would have a contract UPS pilots would be drooling over.

This is no ****ing match. We are all on the same team. It is us against them, but I will say our management is far worse than yours. We can't even get a proposal from our management. Your mediocre proposal from your management is what we brought to the table as our initial offer before UPS and Allegiant got deals.

There is nothing more SWAPA can do right now. Our management at Southwest is in a whole other league in terms of hating pilots.
